- Based in Phoenix, Arizona. Online only through our website at happyturtletea.com and we also have an Etsy shop at www.etsy.com/shop/HappyTurtleTea. We do not have a retail storefront but prior to COVID I did do local conventions, comic-cons, etc.

- Night in the Glittering Caves is our most popular blend. It went out in the Sips by Magic Box in the Fall and has received a lot of support!
Does the company name have a meaning?
- I love turtles and tea, and tea makes me happy! Honestly, it just spoke to me.
Do you participate in any charities?
- No, not currently. On a small level, I do participate in some charity auctions via some Facebook markets. Before COVID hit I was looking into connecting with a sea turtle foundation, so that is still on the to-do list.
What is your (or any of your other co-workers’) favorite tea?
- From my store – My favorites are The Seventh Doctor (lavender and vanilla earl grey) and Alchemy & Destiny (Pu-erh with pistachio and papaya)
What are your thoughts on transparency in the tea industry?
- I think that we have grown to a point where the tea industry deserves transparency. I know many think this will limit the growth of the industry, but I think tea can stand on its own as a beverage of choice.
What role does tea play in our lives?
- My company’s tagline is ‘Take a sip of happiness.’ That’s what tea is, its happiness in a cup. Yes, some look at tea and say ‘It’s just a drink”, but for many of us, tea plays an active role in our lives every day. Whether we are drinking it because we need its ability to calm us when we are agitated, or boost us when we are down. It can also be that warm hug you need at the end of a long day, or that gentle kiss goodnight. The most beautiful part, is that so many different people from different walks of life can sit down over a cup of this liquid joy, and just enjoy each other’s company.

TeaTiff Picks: Dancing Dragons. You can find tea quotes in many random places but some of my favorite have been associated with Avatar: The Last Airbender. This one has goji berries which is also a plus in my book. And maybe I’m wrong but I’d like to think the name is referring to the fire bending dragon dance. The anime nerd in me though immediately thinks FUSION HA!
