Most popular company tea(s)?

  • A list of all the popular teas can be found here. It looks like it changes fairly often depending on how people rate their teas. At this time Earl Grey Bravo is at the top. What is your favorite?

Does the company name have a meaning?

  • Adagio is a music/dance term. Meaning to be performed at a slow tempo. Translates to tea being sipped and enjoyed slowly, savoring the moment.

Do you participate in any charities?

  • “With our Carbon Offset program, a donation will automatically be made to South Pole with each purchase of Adagio Teas, at no additional cost to you. That contribution will then be used to help sponsor the offset of two pounds of carbon through one of South Pole’s initiatives.” There are four different initiatives based in four countries; Brazil, Vietnam, Kenya, and Mexico. Please visit their page to learn more!
  • ChariTEAS. With our charitable partnerships, we allow tea blenders to donate 5% of the sale to a charity of their choice: 5% of sales benefit the society.

What is your (or any of your other co-workers) favorite tea?

  • Sencha, Golden Spring, Lemongrass Ginger, Cinnamon Rooibos Chai

What are your thoughts on transparency in the tea industry?

  • “To ensure the best quality and value, we import our teas directly from the countries in which they are grown, working closely with the farmers who tender them. Our Roots Campaign connects our customers with the rich stories and the farmers behind some of our most popular teas.” You can check out many amazing stories from the tea farmers here.

What role does tea play in our lives?

  • Tea is a way to slow down the day, and take some time for yourself. It is also a great way to bring people together, as nothing is better than a shared teapot.

TeaTiff Picks: Masters by Adagio. This is a website by Adagio but the feel is very different. The focus is more on tea in its purest form. If I were to choose a specific tea, Tai Ping Hou Kui. A vibrant green tea that is as wonderful to drink as it is to look at.

Grapefruit Oolong & Bella Luna Blue
