When I began this project of discovering as many tea companies as I could I never imagined what an emotional rollercoaster it would be. People start companies for various reasons and of course, the biggest is usually they want to share their love of tea with others. There is another very important reason I’ve come across though and that is health. Often times we find teas and tisanes help our ailments and in doing so we want to share our discoveries with others. Does the company name have a meaning?
- The company name started as a joke between my husband and I. We’d call ourselves that whenever we did something silly like create a song or fix a good meal. Our last name is Easley and my first name is Essence. So we’re E&E. Now that’s what our company stands for Exceptionally simple Extraordinary delicious Teas
Do you participate in any charities?
- We do on a regular. We’ve participated in charity events for Enduring Minds The Foundation, ROX girls group, and Her Brands female empowerment. Giving back to others is what we love to do in any way we can from educating on the benefits of tea, selling products to raise money, participating in auction events and donating items for gift bags etc.
What is your (or any of your other co-workers’) favorite tea?
- My husband’s favorite tea is the Allen’s Mix Calming Blend. Mine is Sage.
What are your thoughts on transparency in the tea industry?
- We believe transparency is so important. We pride ourselves on transparency, on our practices, what’s included in our tea and our pricing. Everyone deserves what their drinking.
What role does tea play in our lives?
- Tea is so important in our lives. It’s a beverage enjoyed by most cultures. It’s so personal but yet can bring people together. It’s so healthy for us and something everyone can enjoy. I love sharing it with family and friends and helping people create the perfect tea and cup for them to enjoy
Anything else you’d like to add?
- One of our most popular options is our custom blend creation “Essentially you”. We allow customers to create what they want or request a tea we may not have. We thoroughly enjoy creating so many different things for our customers. And we can’t wait to create your perfect cup.
TeaTiff Picks: If you suffer from Pseudotumor Cerebri or other Chronic Neurological conditions this may help. I am by no means a doctor but I know what it is to be in pain and want to try what you can to alleviate symptoms. If you know anyone who does suffer from these conditions be sure to pass this on to them. I also wanted to point out again that they do custom blends and they have some great ingredients to work with! Also, Felita’s Mix (Detox Blend). I’m really picky about my herbal blends, especially ones with peppermint because I find it so overwhelming but this blend is literally the best blend I’ve had.
